How Much Does a Website Cost?

It’s the most-asked question we get here at KLP.

“How much does a website cost?”

Unfortunately, it’s a difficult question to answer.  It is similar to asking a contractor how much it costs to build a house.  There is so much that goes into a website that we really can’t give a straight answer.

But what we can do is give you some examples here in www101:  How Much Does a Website Cost?

It’s no secret that you can go on the web and build a website yourself for practically nothing.  And this might be a good first step for tech-savvy folks who are just starting out and have no budget whatsoever.  But the problem with this is what the old adage says:  you get what you pay for.

Free website makers offer very few layout and color choices, extremely limited designs and you’ll spend hours of time learning their system.  There is little if any technical support and you will still likely have to pay for your hosting and domain registration.

You can also hire overseas designers or ones that work from home for cheap – but what happens if they decide they don’t want to do it anymore?  Or if they get a full-time job doing something else?  We’ve heard dozens of stories from clients that went this route only to get burned later.

The next choice is hiring an established design firm like KLP.  The benefit of hiring a firm like ours is you don’t have to worry about learning curves, people disappearing or really poor customer service.  And we’ve got something to offer for everyone.  In addition to our Traditional Custom Website Design offerings, we also have WordPress solutions that start at $495.

So what is the next step?  We encourage you to check out The Process For Getting A Website or just pick up the phone and give us a call.  We’ll hammer out a detailed quote for you with no cost or obligation.
